A conversation about ASB with Beverley Beat Officer |
||
|
Anti social behaviour (ASB) can greatly affect an individual’s quality of life, or even a whole community, leading to people fearing for their safety or safety of others. It’s often defined as ‘behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to person’s not of the same household’, and what many may not know is that there are actually around 13 different types of ASB. ASB can consist of abandoned vehicles or vehicle nuisance like street cruising or convoys, rowdy or inconsiderate behaviour, littering or drugs paraphernalia, nuisance calls, street drinking, trespassing, or begging as examples. Following an increase in reports of nuisance behaviour, street drinking and begging in the areas of Beverley Town Centre, Toll Gavel, Butcher Row and Lord Roberts Road, we caught up with Neighbourhood Beat Officer PC Jack Brindley who explains more about this kind of ASB. ![]() | ||
